Most Active VCs in Fintech investing in Latin America
In June 2016, ALLVP conducted a research on Fintech investments in Latin America which explored the VCs portfolios and latest deals in the region.
The Research reflects the dynamic activity in the sector: 99 startups have received institutional investment. Mexico emerges as the most active country backing financial technology ventures.
Acción, Alta Ventures, Kaszek Ventures and ALLVP stand out as the most active VC investors in the ecosystem, totaling 19 investments in Fintech companies, including recent rounds in PayClip, Konfio, Afluenta, NuBank and Kueski.
Founders are determined to take advantage of the momentum and to change the rules of traditional banking and financial services in Latin America, encourage financial inclusion and offer consumers flexible and transparent financial alternatives.ALLVP expects this table to grow, as a new generation of Fintech companies leveraging AI and blockchain emerge.
